i think it's the subtle shifts in the baseline that make this type just a little unsettling. this is a custom typeface made just for this project: i think the designer did a good job illustrating each letter with just the right amount of contrast and consistency with every other letter.

Do you think it would still be disturbing if it weren't paired with the devil tail and horns? I'm not sure.
